"A little bit of everything, graces the "eclectic menus (that vary slightly by branch) at this "quality" homegrown mini-chain; comfortable", tropical surroundings complete the kid-friendly package, which comes at a "good price." Zagat 2013 - Very Good to Excellent
Artfully prepared global cuisine is the bill of fare in this hip Warehouse District eatery.
This cavernous, airy restaurant in the hip Warehouse District draws denizens from the nearby apartment buildings. Customers enjoy the greetings with smiles at the door, spirited servers and the large colorful room. The same enthusiasm infuses the food, with a menu that ranges from Thai-inspired grilled fish entrées to south-of-the-border-tinged tacos. Many patrons depend on this place for its imaginative selection of salads, such as the Maui melon and shrimp combination, or the generously portioned jumbo lump crab salad with onions, artichokes and chopped tomatoes. While there is not a heavy emphasis on wine here, sakés, local beers and margaritas made from freshly squeezed juice are reason enough to take your time before your meal. Bread pudding takes on new life with a creamy Amaretto custard topping. It is easy to eat light at Sun Ray Grill and still leave totally satisfied.

“Sun Ray Grill Gretna achieves the lofty goals of the menu without being flashy and most importantly, our palates are dazzled without draining our wallets.” Mary Erret - The West Bank Beacon - 2011
“Unlike many of their colleagues in the area, the Deutsch's have succeeded with menus that hardly mention Cajun, Creole or fried food. They’ve offered, instead, a selection that varies from Thai barbecue chicken to pan roasted Fish and smoked duck and tasso quesadilla…… they share their culinary findings at moderate prices.” Carrol Trosclair - New Orleans Examiner Restaurant Writer 2010
