Welcome to Sun Ray Grill
We are a group of neighborhood restaurants in the New Orleans area. Our menu is a dining journey through the sun splashed cuisines of the Gulf Coast, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Pacific Rim. Fresh fish and seafood are brought in daily from the Pacific, Atlantic and the Gulf Coasts. Chicken, steaks and proteins are hand cut in our kitchen and never frozen. Our high standards demand garden fresh produce.

Each of our locations is unique in design and cuisine, and offers its own menu and daily specials. Of course, some of our most popular favorites can be found at all locations. Convenient parking and accessibility are also available at all of our locations. We offer a full bar where creative martinis, fresh juice margaritas, and tropical drinks are mixed with your favorite libations. Our wines are carefully selected to pair with our menu and offer excellent value.
Sun Ray Grill is a great place to gather with friends and family for special occasions. We can easily accommodate large groups and all of our restaurants offer private dining areas.

Our flag ship restaurant under the Sun Ray Grill banner is located in the CBD, close to the Convention Center and inside the lofty Cotton Mill Condos. This restaurant grandly captures the spirit of the Pacific Rim. Dishes are crafted with fresh seafood from local sources as well as a bounty of fish flown in throughout the week from Hawaii & Japan. Two kitchens operate independently here under one roof. Aloha Sushi, a Hawaiian themed sushi bar crafts delectable rolls, salads and soups from its own corner of the space. While the main kitchen concentrates on quality steaks, ribs, fresh fish, seafood and hot appetizers.

This is where it all began back in the summer of 1996. Our original location in Gretna intended to bring dining experiences I collected on my world travels to the neighborhood where I had grown up. Today we continue to bring a diverse mix of cooking styles that is uniquely Sun Ray Grill. We expanded the location in 2005 to bring more elbow room but our commitment to quality food and customer satisfaction has never wavered.

There's "lots to choose from" at these"consistent" New American siblings, and though each proffers a slightly diffrent menu, all offer a "delectable fusion" of Asian, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Tex Mex flavors along with "great value for the dollar; the Warehouse District iteration has a vintage industrial air, while the Gretna and Metairie locations are swathed in beige-and -orange island decor.
